Poetry by Ann Logan

THANKSGIVING
Wonder, ponder, dream and spend
Darling filters find a friend.
Span with twinkling esprit,
Contest chaos, getting free.
Raze abodes, owners faces
Eager ages' timid places.

When a rebel call commands
Seek the mooring on the sands.
Take a moment made for you.
And may all your hopes bleed true.

Faithful stands and loving times,
Caring nestles funny lines,
Mien to cause, adventure screams
Wonder to a gushing stream.

Blunder, Plunder, stop and then
Save your strength, the lion's den.
When alone, take to be
Captain of your dignity
Oh how precious times of glee.
Thank the vet who set us free.

COME TRUTH
No Heart or Soul
Just Yes and No
Black and White
Plain if seen
Most times through pain

[You are the cold eyes
That hold the world.
You are of no life,
The gift of time.]

Scenes move, I appear
Much more to you:
Hard to find,
Blind to eyes.
I need you, come Truth.

[You are the cold eyes
That hold the world.
You are of no life,
The gift of time.]

ALL THE HOPE
Deep in my soul, I see a way.
Paths of tomorrow, I view today.
And all, the wisdom.
Nighttime's shadow yields to the dawn.
I feed on sunshine and ask you along.
Come, slow, for Glory.

Out of my mind,
came all I saw.
And, oh the
Sounds blend along
To sing this song
Inside me
Of All THE HOPE in our lives.

[Someone within to guide us
Wishes our return
Messages clear, to save us
What will it cost to learn?
I don't know.]

Yesterday's tale spoke of our pain.
Deflated dreams and nothing to gain
Lose hold, Sorrow.
Fallen from life, we cry alone.
Yet in light, we take to this song
Believe in recoveries.

There in your soul
Comes all you seek
And oh the
Angels you find
Working kind
Inside you.
With ALL THE HOPE in our lives.

[Someone within to guide us
Wishes our return
Messages clear, to save us
What will it cost to learn?
Do you know?]

To learn of this, look beyond Hell.
Seek for tomorrow, in hope you view well.
the brave, find Wisdom
There's always night to shape a day.
Art is the sculpture harden from clay.
In Love, Remember:

Out of our minds
Comes all we see
And oh the
Sounds blend along
Singing a song
Inside us
Of ALL THE HOPE in our lives

[Someone within to guide us
Wishes our return
Messages clear, to save us
What will it cost to learn?
We shall know.]

YOU'RE COMING HOME
You're coming home, tomorrow.
You're caring love is tomorrow.
Here, I wait for you, today.
I watch for you, today.
I wish it's you, today,
At our home.

Doubt fights the hope to see you.
Tears are my closest friends
All I have are memories of you.
Does suffering end?

Letters tell of your survival,
Taunting my love for you.
Hours slow past your arrival.
Will I ever hold you?

You're coming home, tomorrow.
You're careless love is tomorrow.
But, I wait for you, this day.
I hope for you, this day.
I want you, today,
At our home.

Nearsighted fool, yes, I know.
Sure as the sun, you'll be here.
I'll wait by your say so.
Seeing is you, my dear.

Doubt fights the hope to see you.
Tears are my closest friends
All I have are memories of you.
Does suffering end?

You're coming home, tomorrow.
They're sending love, tomorrow.
I cry for you, this day.
I wish for you, this day.
I need you, today.
But, you're gone.

WHO
Some twenty years but old am I.
Given life, I choose to die.
Condemned by fears and shattered dreams
A started tear leads the streams.

Journey east toward a star,
Over seas to where you are.
A one way path, few dare return.
All who do, condemned to burn.

Who am I, Who are you?
What should I dare to choose?
Condemned by me, I've no hope here.
But. then, you bought all the tears.

We've hung you up, for your crime.
Caring Love, you've valued time.
But what remains since you have gone?
And, why should I live on?

Who am I, without you?
What should I hold as true?
The star is gone and I am lost.
If I knew, I'd fear the cost.

Young but old, I have been.
Hurting you, I wear the sin.
But, you've forgiven all my crimes,
Yielding me to live your times.

Wo am I, Who are you?
Take this cross, I'm not you!
Then you hold another star.
Hard to walk, so far.

Who am I to have you;
Helping me, who has hurt you?
Yet there are visions in my mind.
This star's a way for my kind.
This star's a way for our kind.

SUNNY SIDE
It is the sunny side of town:
Spirits high, depression down.
A place to be but not to live,
Take your time before they give.

Among beloved in sun's embrace.
A child grows to hunger touch.
Stolen lips befallen grace.
Passion's pulse is not enough

He of water took control
She now fire split her mind.
He step forward, full control
She is nothing steps behind.

It is the sunny side of town:
Spirits high, depression down.
A place to be but not to pray
Save your soul before it strays

She calibrates for unity
He shield in reverence to his pride
She cries in vain for charity
He soothes in shadows

TEACH YOUR LOVE
Will you teach your love to me:
Fairness, truth, serenity.
Treat me well, do be just.
Show me, Love; in you, I trust;

Not long words, deep sighs,
Pointless games, numbing lies,
Seducing hearts, cheating minds.
What a game, bar room crimes.

Fairy tales and wonderlands,
Never told of wandering hands.
In romance, vague mystery.
Saying no seeks you for me.

Hold me close, ignore my tears:
Hurtful steam from pressure years.
Quest inside a seed of joy.
Please, teach your love to me.
